- Students are tech savvy and this will be easy to do
- They take ownership of their Blog
- With resources available on the Web, research is relatively simple.
- If there is adequate feedback, the students will be encouraged
- Marking can be done all the time, anytime, and fairly easily.

Some reasons to use a Blog for my next class
Here are some of the reasons why I think it is a good idea.

Hi Ian - I think your point about students taking ownership of their blog is a really important piece of getting them engaged. I also think that many of them aren't as tech savvy as we think! They may be reading and commenting on their friends blogs, but I wonder how many of them actually have ever set one up themselves? Having said that, learning how to do a blog would be a huge motivator for the younger students anyway.
